New in PXS Desktop 1.1

Clock: six big faces, and alarms you set in a sentence

PXS 1.1 has a Clock app. Large clock faces on a sky that follows the time of day, and alarms that ring on your phone even when PXS is closed.

  • iPhone & iPad

A screen that is on anyway makes a good clock. The Clock app in PXS 1.1 fills its window with one.

Six faces

Sweep, Gold, Chronograph, Flip, Digital and Big Sec. Click the face, or the arrows beside its name, for the next one. Behind it is a sky that follows the time of day: stars at night, then dawn, daylight and sunset. The date and your next alarm sit under the clock.

Alarms

The alarms have a panel of their own beside the clock, which tucks away when you only want the face. Each alarm has a time, a label, the days it repeats, a snooze length and one of thirteen sounds, which you can listen to before you choose.

These are real alarms on the phone: they ring in Silent mode and through a Focus, and with PXS closed. If you are at the desktop when one goes off, a card covers the screen with Snooze and Stop.

Say it

Click the ✦ button and write the alarm the way you would say it: “wake me at 6:45 on weekdays”, or “timer pasta 9 min”. The editor fills in the time, the days, and the sound or the name if you gave one. Nothing is saved until you click Save, so you see what it understood first. It all happens on the phone.

Good to know

  • Alarms need iOS 26 or later. On earlier versions the clocks work, and the panel says why the alarms don’t.
  • The ✦ button needs Apple Intelligence turned on.
  • Clock arrives with PXS 1.1, for iPhone and iPad.
